The 37th Annual Colonial Faire & Muster of Fifes & Drums
Saturday, September 30th, Sudbury MA.
9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Sponsored by the Sudbury Companies of Militia & Minute and the Sudbury Ancient & Honourable Fifes & Drums. It will be held on Saturday, September 30th (rain date / October 1st) on the grounds of Longfellow's Wayside Inn, Sudbury, MA from 9AM to 5PM. There are usually 45 - 50 arts and crafts and food vendors along with a small encampment and a skirmish with the Crown forces. We will re-enact a typical officers election and promote a new colonel. There will also be 18th century games for children and, at noon, we have a parade of all the participating fife & drum units (usually 25 to 30). There will also be a blacksmith, a cooper, weavers and demonstrations of various other crafts of the era including musketry and militia drills. We average about 5,000 visitors each year. Parking and admission are free. A definite plus is that the Wayside Inn will beto visitors and diners (with reservations).
